Legendary alt-country guitarist and Texas-native, Alejandro Escovedo has been making music since the 1970s. After working with bands like the Nuns and Rank and File, Escovedo went on to pursue a successful solo career. Escovedo has made it a point to never shy away from his own personal struggles when writing songs. Acclaimed for his poetic lyrics and impressive guitar work, Escovedo has built a strong reputation for himself by refusing to compromise his art. Recently, Escovedo has recorded with John Cale of the Velvet Underground, among others. His new album, Real Animal, set to be released this June, features production from frequent David Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti.
