Praised as one of the most important local acts, Boca Chica and their delicate indie folk has been favorably compared to such diverse acts as Neil Young, Neko Case and Bright Eyes. Their new album, Transform into Beasts, finds the band exploring darker, moodier territory. Boca Chica was named one of the top five local acts of 2007 by WYEP.
