The Lonely Lights started in 2007 with ex-members of the band Stuck in Standby.  The band's music is influenced by a multitude of genres from rock to indie -- from The Beatles and The Who to Death Cab for Cutie and Modest Mouse.  The resulting music, however, is surprisingly folk.  The Lonely Lights striped the music down to it's rawest form and recorded their debut album, The Distant Shore, in a few weeks time.  Their belief is that folk music is not so much about the style of music, but the honesty behind it.
