When talking about the Pittsburgh rock scene the Clarks are bound to come up, and at the center of the 'Burghs hardest rocking band is singer and guitarist Scott Blasey. The Clarks have been playing music since the 1980s but it wasn't until 1995 when Blasey released his first solo album entitled Don't Try This At Home. Blasey's solo career gave him the opportunity to explore a more stripped-down style of music. A number of Clarks' songs were first recorded as solo tracks, including fan-favorite "Born Too Late." His most recent release, Travelin' On, finds Blasey continuing to explore music outside of the scope of the Clarks' brand of hard rock, including a Sam Cooke cover and a piano ballad.
