Before You Arrive
Booth Assignments & Payment
All booth fees must be received by the Festival by May 1, 2012. Failure to submit booth fees by this time constitutes forfeiture of your allotted booth space. Your space will then be reassigned. Payment instructions are included in the notification email.
Booth assignments are made at the sole discretion of the Festival to create an appealing mix of media. While we make every attempt to accommodate special requests, we must balance the requests of individual artists with the overall goals of the Festival. Booth assignments are final and are not interchangeable. Do not trade booth locations with another artist.
Cancellation & Refund Schedule
You must cancel your participation in the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival Artists Market in writing. Cancellations should be directed to Sonja Sweterlitsch.
May 11 is the deadline to withdraw to receive a 50% booth fee refund. No refunds will be given after this date.
Failure to Appear
If you failure to register on-site at the Festival by 9 am on your first scheduled exhibit day, you forfeit all rights to occupy your booth space. Three Rivers Arts Festival may use your booth space for other purposes. Late cancellations and “no shows” represent a significant administrative and logistical cost for Three Rivers Arts Festival that cannot reasonably be recovered by substituting alternate artists. For that reason, “no show” artists will have a hard time being accepted to Three Rivers Arts Festival again.
Cancellation of the Festival
Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival may, if required by any reasons beyond its control, postpone, alter, shorten or cancel the Artists Market in whole or in part. No exhibitor shall have any right or claim of damages whether direct, indirect or consequential, or of any other kind, arising or alleged to arise by reason of any postponement or cancellation of the Artists Market.
Taxes
You are legally obligated to collect Pennsylvania sales tax on all items sold in your booth. The sales tax rate in Allegheny County is 7%. When you arrive, staff from the Pennsylvania will provide detailed information on sales. It is your responsibility to register with the state before you arrive.
You may also be legally obligated to pay the City of Pittsburgh Emergency and Municipal Services tax. It is your responsibility to register with the City of Pittsburgh before you arrive.
If you have applied for either of these licenses but have not yet received them before you arrive at the Festival, you must bring a photocopy of the completed form as proof of application.
Insurance and Liability
Each exhibitor should insure his or her property against the risks of fire, theft, burglary, breakage and leakage, and weather or water damage, as well as the risks of transport to and from the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival site. Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and its parent The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will not be liable to any exhibitor or any other person for any damage or loss whatsoever, arising from any cause, except the gross negligence of the Festival. Without limiting the foregoing, Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will not be liable for any loss incurred by reason of failure of the exhibitor to obtain such insurance or failure of such insurance to cover any loss.
