The Emerging Artist Scholarship Program helps Pittsburgh-region artists produce their first booth in an outdoor show. The Three Rivers Arts Festival’s Emerging Artists program has become the model for others like it in Artists Markets throughout the nation and has launched the art careers of dozens of Pittsburgh based artists.
The scholarship provides a tent and booth space in the Artists Market at no charge. We also pair scholarship recipients with mentors, established artists working in the same medium who can answer questions about exhibiting and offer advice on maximizing sales, designing your booth and pricing your art.
A limited number of scholarships are available for this competitive program. Entry is open to any artist who has never done an outdoor show and lives within 100 miles of Pittsburgh.
You may apply for both the Emerging Artist program and the general Artists Market. Emerging Artists are selected first.
